Martin Gilbert, General Manger of the Delta Bessborough, understands that keeping kids playing hockey doesn’t come cheap. “We wanted to help support local sports in our community and reached out to the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association to see if we could help”, says Gilbert.
The concept is quite simple we offer a truly special rate to encourage people with out of town visitors to stay at the Bessborough, or perhaps even book a staycation for themselves between December 18 and January 2
nd (New Year’s Eve excluded) and then we provide a portion of those funds to the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association to support their programming.
This year the hotel is offering a rate of $79.00 per night, of which $10.00 gets returned to the SMHA. This rate is about 50% off the typical retail rate over that time of year and provides both excellent value and an opportunity to give back to the community.
