SMHA Program Changes for 2018-19 Season


SMHA has adjusted most of its programs leading into the 2018-19 season. Read on for a brief summary of these changes...

With some additional icetime being afforded to SMHA from the addiiton of Merlis Belsher Place, SMHA has adjusted some of its programming for the 2018-19 season.

Atom Program: (all levels):
Will increase by two practices per team and will include:
- 6 October pre-season practices
- 22 practices
- 20 games

Peewee Program (A, B & C):
Will increase by three practices per team and will include:
- 6 October pre-season practices
- 20 practices
- 18 league games
+ SMHA Provincial and SMHA City Playoffs

Peewee C league update:
Will follow the same program game ice time as Peewee AA, A & B - 1:45 ice time per game  and will feature a pre-Christmas tournament again in lieu of not having SMHA Provincial Playoffs

Bantam Program (A, B & C):
Will increase by two practices per team and will include:
- 5 October pre-season practices
- 18 practices
- 22 league games
+ SMHA Provincial and SMHA City Playoffs

Bantam C league update:
Will follow the same program game ice time as Bantam A & B - 1:45 ice time per game
- will play 24 league games in lieu of not having SMHA Provincial Playoffs

Midget A & B Program:
- will increase by three games per team and will include:
- 5 October pre-season practices
- 10 practices
- 25 league games
+ SMHA Provincial and SMHA City Playoffs

Midget C Program:
Will increase by four games per team and will include:
- 4 october pre-season practices
- 6 practices
- 25 league games
+ SMHA City Playoffs
- will follow the same program game ice time as Midget A & B - 1:45 ice time per game
