Wild Sportsperson of the Year Award - Felix Bulk

Wild Sportsperson of the Year Award - Felix Bulk

An excerpt from the nomination...

Felix is an unassuming player that loves the game of hockey. Throughout the year you can find Felix in his driveway shooting pucks by himself – no matter what the temperature is outside. He has asked for and participated in early morning power skating sessions outside of his regular team practices because he wanted to improve on his own skills and abilities, and puts in his best effort each time he hits the ice. Felix likes to be active and plays many sports, but if you asked him what his favourite sport is, his response would be hockey.

Felix has never had the chance to play with his close school buddies but that hasn’t stopped him from wanting to play nor meeting and playing with others. Felix always views his teammates as friends; and over the years, he has definitely built lasting friendships that extend off the ice. He’s played with a number of Wild players over the years, as well as players from other zones/areas in spring and 3 on 3 leagues. When he comes across players he knows, you will see him give a pat on the pads, a smile, and/or a laugh. He will watch his friends play on other teams and cheer them on. You will usually hear him say things like “good game” to his teammates after a game, patting his goalie before every shift starts, or saying encouraging words to a team mate if they’ve experienced a bad game/play.

Congratulations Felix for being awarded the Wild Sportsperson of the Year!
