Province Enacts Mandatory Self-Isolation Order
Saskatchewan will be enacting a public health order mandating that anyone that tests positive for COVID-19 self-isolate for 10-days after receiving a positive test result.
**Unvaccinated close contacts of individuals that tested positive for COVID-19 will also be required to self-isolate for 10-days.
***Fully vaccinated individuals identified as a close-contact of a positive case will not be required to self-isolate, but will be required to self-monitor and seek testing at the first sign of COVID-19 symptoms.
The above information is key to keeping our older teams playing, even if a player or coach tests positive for COVID-19 during the season. If most or all of the players and coaches are fully vaccinated, the team will be able to continue on and just have to self-monitor. U15 and U18 players, along with eligible U13 players, please get vaccinated. You can help control the course of your team's season.
If there are not enough fully vaccinated players and coaches and a member of the team tests positive, the team will need to be shut down due to a lack of players.
For teams with players that are too young to be vaccinated (U7, U9, U11 and U13), it is important that team officials on these teams are vaccinated as well as the families of the players.
