SMHA Scheduling Update Dec 9, 2011

Scheduling Update - December 9, 2011

Briefly, here is an update on scheduling to date:

IP through Atom Age Groups

Games and practices through to the end of February are completed.  There are a few errors in the New Year that have been pointed out that will be corrected over the next week.

The March schedules for all divisions that require them in IP-Atom will be worked on in January and posted in late January.

Peewee, Bantam and Midget Tier 2 and Tier 3

All ice for scheduling practices has been pulled and set aside to be used to schedule the remainder of practices in January and February for all tier 2 and tier 3 teams.  This will be finished by December 16th or earlier.

Provincial Playoff Schedules

The schedules for SMHA provincial playoffs for all applicable divisions  will be posted by next week also.  You will find these schedules by clicking on Standings for your applicable league and then by choosing 2011-2012 SMHA Provincial Playoffs.

Provincial Playoffs will be held in the following divisions:
Peewee Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3
Bantam Tier 2 and Tier 3
Midget Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3

All series are two-game total goal series with overtime possible in the second game only.

Provincial Playoff Standings

For all tier 2 and tier 3 leagues, games versus interlock centres (Clavet, Delisle, Martensville, Dundurn) are not used in calculating provincial standings.  These centres do not compete with SMHA teams for Provincial Playoffs.

For Tier 1 Peewee and Midget, games versus Martensville are counted as Martensville competes in the same provincials with SMHA teams.

The standings for all tier 2 and tier 3 leagues will be found under the Latest News section for your particular league.  This is the page that it defaults to when you choose the league you wish to view.

Zone Websites and SMHA Schedules

We would ask that all teams go by what is on the SMHA website for schedules at this time.  Goalline is looking into why the schedules are not tying in consistently back to the zone sites.  Not all changes being made to schedules are appearing as such on the zone sites.  Please refer to the SMHA website for schedule information at this time.

Once Goalline can assure us that the flow of information will work 100%, we will advise you via an update like this one.

Thank you for your attention to this information adn have a great weekend.

From SMHA
